At the start of August, we celebrate the first harvest of the year as part of the Lúnasa or Lammas festival. The plants of spring have withered and left seeds to ensure future crops. Grains are ready to be harvested and the fruits are ripe for picking. We gather to enjoy nature’s bounty and to give thanks for the food on our tables and for the blessings we have received throughout the year so far.

Many people celebrate Easter by dressing up, hunting eggs, eating candy, spending time with family, and remembering Jesus. Unitarian Universalists have various and often conflicting thoughts about Jesus. What can we all learn from the story of the resurrection of Jesus, even if we don’t accept it as historical fact? In this service, Rev. Steven helps us think about how Easter can empower us to live more fully in alignment with our principles.

In this Valentine’s Day service, Rev. Steven speaks about the holiday’s fascinating history. The story could be a horror movie but is presented in a PG way with an exploration of love as more than candies, cards, and flowers. The UUFF Choir sings uplifting songs!
