Choosing to focus on beauty and goodness, even when there are so many horrors in our world, is a form of fierce resistance. Like the flowers themselves, we continue to bloom.

For many Americans, the number one issue in this year’s election is immigration. Some claim that immigrants are ruining America. Are immigrants really taking away jobs and increasing the crime level? Have Americans always been welcoming to immigrants as long as they came in legally? Join us as we explore some “Myths and Truths About Immigration” with our own Dr. Gene Vinzant.

Transcendence is not turning our back on everything that was. It’s not giving up on every idea, right, ritual, or process. It’s not destroying the foundation on which we were structured. We don’t have to reinvent the wheel, as long as the wheel is still functional. It’s simply letting go of what is NOT working, and supporting the best of what IS. Led by guest speaker/guest musician, Summer Osborne!

Everywhere we look, we see evidence of increasing selfishness and self-centeredness in our society. Healthy societies depend on cooperation and the moral codes that sustain it rather than those that promote competition and divisiveness. We look at what led us to this point and how we can get back to being more focused on the common good. UUFF Member, Dr. Marty Faitak, will be our speaker.
This Sunday, we SHARE THE PLATE with the NWA Center for Sexual Assault. To find out more, please visit: https://www.nwasexualassault.org/
